CHALLENGE

• To design podium amenities within a confined and deep-shaded area that transitioned from functional common spaces to intimate, private patios

SOLUTION

• In the high shade areas, light-coloured pavers, mint green and white shade-loving, flowering plants, and warm-toned lighting were used to make the spaces feel inviting
• Incorporated a BBQ area, workout space, fire pit area, playground, and a fenced-in dog run with bound, permeable gravel
• Designed to reflect the building’s industrial and sleek character with bursts of colour
• A rectilinear form divides the podium, creating clean lines at the edge of amenity elements that visually differentiate the uses
• Straight paths facilitate circulation, enabling a smooth transition from private outdoor patios to common area amenities
